Moschus She Xiang 9g Strongly opens the Orifices and Luo vessels, revives the Spirit, unblocks closed disorders, activates the Blood, dissipates masses, reduces swellings, detoxifies, opens the channels and alleviates pain.
Pseudobulbus Cremastrae/ Pleiones Shan Ci Gu 90g Clears Heat, resolves toxicity, reduces abscesses and dissipates nodules.
With She Xiang, for abscesses and carbuncles.
With She Xiang and Hong Da Ji, for toxic sores.
Realgar Xiong Huang 30g Relieves toxicity, dries Dampness, expels Phlegm and settles Wind.
With Zhu Sha, for seizures, epilepsy and convulsions.
Sm. Euphorbiae Lathyridis Qian Jin Zi 30g Expels water, resolves swelling, breaks up Blood Stasis and eliminates masses.
Rx. Euphorbiae Pekinensis Hong Da Ji 45g Drains water downward and drives out thin mucus. Reduces swelling and dissipates nodules topically.
Cinnabaris Zhu Sha 30g Sedates the Heart, calms the Spirit, expels Phlegm and sedates jitteriness and convulsions while stopping tremors. Clears Heat, relieves toxicity and prevents putrefaction topically.
With Xiong Huang and Shan Ci Gu, topically for toxic sores.
Galla Chinensis Wu Bei Zi 90g Relieves Fire toxicity, clears Dampness and reduces swellings topically.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
  • Zhu Sha and Xiong Huang are potentially toxic and are no longer used.
  • She Xiang is from an animal that is endangered and is no longer used.
  • Contraindicated for elderly, weak patients.
  • Contraindicated during pregnancy.
HERB/DRUG INTERACTIONS
  • This formula may be applied topically to treat abscesses and sores.
  • Internally: Use 3g 1-2 times daily. Crush and take with warm water (or dissolve in warm water).
  • Externally: Apply the paste and then cover with a gauze.
  • The use of this formula should be discontinued once the symptoms improve.
